About The Position

The Linen Technician is responsible for stocking clean linen carts with the appropriate par levels and delivering these carts to various units or floors in a timely manner. This role includes the classification of clean linen and providing back-up coverage as needed. The Linen Technician will also assist in training new co-workers. Additional responsibilities include unloading all Commercial Laundry carts and placing linen neatly on designated clean shelves, as well as loading and unloading the commercial laundry truck. The technician is also tasked with picking up soiled linen from units on a scheduled basis and loading carts for delivery to the laundry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• One year of healthcare or hotel housekeeping experience is preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand both verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Stock clean linen carts with appropriate par levels
• Deliver clean linen carts to units/floors in a timely manner
• Classify clean linen
• Provide back-up coverage as needed
• Assist in training new co-workers
• Unload Commercial Laundry carts and place linen on designated shelves
• Load/unload commercial laundry truck
• Pick up soiled linen from units on a scheduled basis and load carts for delivery to laundry
