The Linen Tech is responsible for the daily delivery and pick-up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility. This role involves performing physical inventory of linen using a hand-held device, neatly placing clean linen onto carts/shelves, and ensuring deliveries/pick-ups are completed according to established timetables within an 8-hour shift. The Linen Tech must respond to units requesting additional linen, assess customer needs, and provide only necessary quantities. They are also responsible for keeping hospital-provided communication devices operational, being knowledgeable of all areas served, and interacting with customers to ensure timely and accurate linen delivery. The role includes accurately counting returned linen, recording data into the Control-Tex Inventory system, coordinating cart staging with staff and drivers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the clean Linen Storeroom.
