The Linen Tech is responsible for the daily delivery and pick-up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility. This role involves performing physical inventory of linen using a hand-held device, neatly placing clean linen onto carts/shelves, and ensuring deliveries/pick-ups are completed according to established timetables within an 8-hour shift. The Linen Tech must respond to units requesting additional linen, assess customer needs, and provide only necessary quantities. They are also responsible for keeping hospital-provided communication devices operational, being knowledgeable of all areas served, and interacting with customers to ensure timely and accurate linen delivery. The role includes accurately counting returned linen, recording data into the Control-Tex Inventory system, coordinating cart staging with staff and drivers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the clean Linen Storeroom. Requirements

High School Diploma General-Preferred or GED General-Preferred
Previous linen delivery experience
Previous inventory experience
Computer experience
Control-Tex software experience
Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team
Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must understand verbal and written instructions
Must be organized and attentive to detail
Able to work quickly and efficiently
Must be able to count and understand instructions given by supervisory staff

Responsibilities

Perform physical inventory of Linen using hand-held device.
Responsible for daily delivery and pickup of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility.
Recording data (item counts) in hand-held device so it may be entered into Control-Tex Inventory system.
Neatly placing clean linen on carts/shelves.
Interacts with customers to ensure linen is delivered in appropriate time frame and is accurate.
Responsible for responding to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted.
Accurately counts all remaining linen in exchange carts that are being returned to the clean Linen room after retrieval from units.
Deliveries/pick-ups must be completed according to established timetables/8-hour shift.
Maintain cleanliness of clean Linen Storeroom.
Consolidate partially full carts, and remove all empty carts, and place in hall.
Coordinates with staff and drivers the proper staging of carts being delivered.
Ensuring appropriate carts are returned to Laundry as well as delivered to the facility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
