Requirements

• Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Must be able to stand on feet for prolonged periods of time.
• Deliver clean linen carts weighing in excess of 500 pounds to the patient floors.
• Must have upper body strength to be able to pull wet linen from 500 pound washing machines.
• Must have a positive attitude and be a Team player.

Responsibilities

• Collect, wash and/or distribute clean linens and apparel for assigned clinical areas.
• Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas. Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
• Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed. Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
• Wash, dry or fold laundered linens and apparel, identifying items for repair or replacement and notify management.
• Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
