About The Position

Requirements

• Experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving linen and scrubs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to relay information to supervisors and team members.

• Familiarity with linen management systems or inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Supplies linen and scrubs to all using departments based on established par quantities to carts, nurseries, and other storage areas.
• Fills all written or verbal requests for linen, scrubs, and pillows.
• Maintains adequate supply of linen through daily inventory and placement of linen orders.
• Unloads clean linen from supplier cart and places it on appropriate stationary shelving in the linen room.
• Enters all transactions to ensure accurate month-end linen distribution charges.
• Utilizes proper methods when processing paperwork to assure correct charging and accountability.
• Informs supervisor when inventory levels are inadequately high or low, when assignments are incomplete, or of any other irregularities in service.
• Straightens linen on the shelves.
• Consolidates and/or empties linen delivery carts.
• Unloads all scrubs from carts.
• Maintains security of linen/scrub room by keeping the door locked at all times.
• Dust mops and damp mops floors.
• Communicates any special requests or occurrences to oncoming shift.
