The Linen Room Attendant is responsible for unloading clean linen from hospital laundry trucks, delivering it to the linen room, and stocking it on shelves. The role includes loading linen onto carts, delivering, stocking, and cleaning par level locations and linen supply carts. The attendant will also deliver and pick up personalized garments according to a distribution schedule, assemble bed packs and linen packs for hospital and medical center departments, and operate a company vehicle in compliance with established procedures and the law of the Motor Vehicle Code. Additionally, the attendant will transport linen supply carts between medical center departments and the linen room area, verify and record linen and garment counts against established inventory supply levels, assist with inventory of linen room supplies, respond to stat requests for linen supplies, maintain a clean and orderly work area, collect garments, and complete transmittal documents for shipment to vendors. Establishing and maintaining courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with other personnel, Health Plan members, and the public is essential.
