About The Position

The Linen Room Attendant is responsible for managing the flow of clean linen within the hospital environment. This includes unloading clean linen from hospital laundry trucks, delivering it to the linen room, and stocking it on shelves. The attendant will also load linen onto carts, deliver and stock linen in various par level locations, and manage linen supply carts. Additionally, the role involves delivering and picking up personalized garments according to a distribution schedule, assembling bed packs and linen packs for hospital departments, and operating a company vehicle in compliance with established procedures and the law. The attendant will verify and record linen and garment counts against established inventory supply levels, assist with inventory of linen room supplies, and respond to urgent requests for linen supplies. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is essential, as is establishing courteous relations with other personnel and the public. Requirements

• Must attach a current CQA driver record information sheet, obtained within the last month.
• Driving record must be free of incidents involving negligence and free of citations for driving under the influence or reckless driving.
• Driving record must not reflect more than two moving violations during the same two-year period.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 60 pounds and move in excess of 300 pounds with material handling equipment.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Unloads clean linen from hospital laundry trucks and delivers it to the linen room.
• Stocks linen on shelves.
• Loads linen on carts and delivers, stocks, and cleans par level locations and linen supply carts.
• Delivers and picks up personalized garments according to distribution schedule.
• Assembles bed packs and linen packs for hospital and medical center departments.
• Operates company vehicle in compliance with established procedures and the law.
• Transports linen supply carts between medical center departments and linen room area.
• Verifies and records linen and garment count against established inventory supply level.
• Assists with inventory of linen room supplies as required.
• Responds to stat requests for linen supplies as required.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Collects garments and completes transmittal documents for shipment to vendor.
• Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with other personnel, Health Plan members, and the public.
• Performs other related duties as required.
