At NewYork-Presbyterian, New York's top-ranked hospital, our linen staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our linen professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. In this role, you will provide an accurate and tidy supply of textile items, 'fit for use' to the hospitals and assist in the control and tracking of the textile inventory by performing various tasks. You'll distribute clean linen and maintain patient comfort and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital. Inspect the exterior and interior of each cart for damage or foreign material. Check incoming carts and record the type and quantity of returned textiles. Remove soiled textiles from the chutes located throughout the Hospital tunnel. Weigh and record soiled cart weight. Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and safety at all times.
