About The Position

Under direction of the Lead Houseperson and Section Supervisors, the Linen Person cleans assigned guest and employee areas of the hotel, as well as assisting Guest Room Attendants.

  • Ability to read, and communicate verbally in English and Spanish

  • Knowledge of chemical use, OSHA regulations, and Biohazard clean-up procedures
  • Ability to provide internal/external guests with service excellence
  • Excellent communication skills and observation skills
  • Easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for guests
  • Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience is recommended

Responsibilities

  • Dust, vacuum, and clean the following areas of the Hotel: hallways; lobby; service and guest elevator tracks; vending areas; storage and supply areas; emergency stairwells; exit areas; and other areas as assigned.
  • Maintain ash urns in guest elevator lobbies throughout the shift.
  • Assist in minor maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, unplugging toilets, etc.
  • Physically stock and maintain linen and supply rooms.
  • Assist Guest Room Attendants as assigned; deliver supplies to GRA carts as needed including full cleaning bottles.
  • Perform heavy duty maintenance and cleaning as assigned.
  • Learn and uphold the quality customer service standards at all times.
  • Maintain personal appearance standards at all times.
  • Complete training of Blood borne Pathogen procedures.
  • Attend regular departmental meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain regular, punctual and predictable attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, which is required.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
