NOVO Health Services – Linen Lead (Hospital Linen Distribution) Position Summary The Linen Lead supports NOVO Health Services’ mission by leading daily hospital linen distribution operations while ensuring accurate inventory control, infection prevention standards, and exceptional customer service. This role serves as the primary on‑site lead for linen distribution technicians, acting as a resource for staff, hospital partners, and NOVO management. The Linen Lead plays a critical role in NOVO’s value‑driven linen management system by ensuring compliance with procedures, maintaining PAR levels, coaching team members, and addressing operational issues in real time. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hospital linen services, healthcare support, environmental services, logistics, or a similar fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, or train others in daily operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proven reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use inventory tablets and documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lead, senior technician, or acting supervisor experience.
  • Familiarity with hospital linen PAR systems and inventory control.
  • Experience working directly with hospital staff and leadership.
  • Willingness to mentor, coach, and support team success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the accurate distribution of clean linen to assigned hospital departments using covered carts.
  • Oversee and assist with the secure collection and transport of soiled linen to designated return areas.
  • Verify, document, and reconcile linen quantities prior to distribution to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Conduct and oversee routine linen inventory counts and ensure hospital PAR levels are met.
  • Monitor linen flow, identify shortages or surpluses, and escalate concerns to NOVO supervision promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Serve as the day‑to-day lead for Linen Distribution Technicians during assigned shifts.
  • Assign work tasks, balance workloads, and ensure coverage for priority areas.
  • Provide on‑the-spot coaching, guidance, and procedural reinforcement to team members.
  • Monitor adherence to linen transport, inventory tablet usage, and documentation procedures.
  • Address minor performance or conduct issues and elevate concerns to NOVO management as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between hospital staff and NOVO supervisors to support smooth operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for hospital staff regarding linen needs, concerns, or quality issues.
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and solution‑focused to service requests.
  • Build strong working relationships with nursing units, environmental services, and hospital partners.
  • Communicate daily operational updates, issues, or risks to NOVO leadership.
  • Ensure accurate use of inventory tracking systems, tablets, and documentation tools.
  • Complete daily logs, counts, audits, and required reports.
  • Assist with training new team members on procedures and safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Linen Room and work areas.
  • Operate linen carts and transport equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support department operations and complete additional duties as assigned.
