About The Position

The Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician is responsible for ensuring that all client linen needs are met efficiently and accurately throughout the facility. This role includes the timely delivery of clean linen, the safe collection of soiled linen, and adherence to procedures that prevent cross-contamination. The technician serves as the first point of contact between Novo and the client, consistently demonstrating company values through exceptional service and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • Strong customer service and relations skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Positive “can‑do” attitude with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach.
  • Ability to operate laundry equipment, carts, storage, and dispensing mechanisms.
  • Ability to sort and stack items into carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving open feedback.
  • Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper transportation of clean linen in covered carts to designated areas.
  • Collect soiled linen from designated locations and transport it in covered carts to assigned areas.
  • Verify linen quantities before delivery.
  • Perform linen inventory as required.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate with the supervisor regarding potential client concerns and linen quality issues.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing outstanding support.
  • Uphold all quality standards and company expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all established institutional procedures and requirements.
  • Operate equipment and perform functions supporting department operations as needed.
  • Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing, answering phones, etc.
  • Adhere to Joint Commission Standards.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
