About The Position

MaineGeneral Health is currently looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Laundry Technician. This role collects, washes, mends, and distributes linens and uniforms. Our team of Housekeeping professionals is currently seeking a full-time Laundry technician to join our team of dynamic professionals. This role helps to create a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of our beautiful, state of the art facility. Requirements

• A positive 'can do' attitude.
• A team oriented mindset.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 or more years of Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, and folds linens and uniforms.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines when handling soiled items.
• Performs daily inventory to ensure clean linens and uniforms are accurately stocked and distributed.
• Identifies stock shortages and notifies management.
• Mends or disposes of damaged linens and uniforms according to departmental policies.
• Operates all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
• Maintains work area in clean and safe condition.
