Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Linen Aide who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Linen Aide , you will: Perform day to day laundry functions as assigned Collect, sort and weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas Fold, stack, hand, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed Sort and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures Press/iron garments as instructed Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline receptacle with plastic liner

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required
  • Ability to communicate at a level, which allows for safe and efficient job performance.
  • Ability to utilize supplies, tools and equipment safely and properly.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to handle a multitask environment
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires judgment that could affect positive patient outcomes
  • Basic arithmetic skills in order maintain linen count
  • Ability to monitor assigned areas for necessary supplies and equipment
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work (lift/carry up to 50 lbs.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day laundry functions as assigned
  • Collect, sort and weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas
  • Fold, stack, hand, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed
  • Sort and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures
  • Press/iron garments as instructed
  • Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline receptacle with plastic liner
