About The Position

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or certificate from an accredited Line Worker Program.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical transmission maintenance.
• Experience with electrical utility line maintenance, including work on transmission structures and aerial conductors.
• Knowledge and skill in the safe use of basic hand tools, power tools, and hot line tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with climbing tools, man lifts, and hot sticks.
• Ability to work under unusual or special working conditions such as storms and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Complete a successful Background Check and Personal Risk Assessment if required.
• Pass the Transmission Lineman Qualification Test with a score of 75% or better.
• Successfully complete the practical climbing test with a score of 75% or better.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Colorado Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months.
• Achieve First Aid and CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Work in and around high voltages common to the electrical utility industry.
• Accept overnight travel up to 75% of working time.
• Demonstrate the ability to work extra and irregular hours as needed.
• Climb wooden and steel structures and work at various heights.
• Ride in a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft for line inspections.
