About The Position

As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight between Southeastern’s Service Center or designated points in-between. This role involves operating a tractor-trailer combination (single or double) across urban, suburban, and rural areas, and in all types of weather conditions. Key duties include receiving and verifying dispatch instructions, verifying loads against shipping documents, and, when hauling hazardous material, verifying product descriptions, addressing paperwork discrepancies, and ensuring proper placarding. All tasks must be performed with a focus on superior customer service and professionalism. Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • 6 months driving experience
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test
  • A valid Driver's License
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, and Doubles/Triples Endorsement
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintenance log
  • Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers

Responsibilities
