About The Position

The line cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food at a station in a kitchen, ensuring quality, timeliness, and consistency of the food prepared.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • 6+ months of restaurant cooking experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to acquire CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding safe food preparation required.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Cultural sensitivity.
  • Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing stairs.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking.
  • Prolonged standing and cooking in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Driving in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely fashion.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain work station while practicing safety requirements.
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all safety food production codes.
  • Be able to adhere to specific timing standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
