About The Position

The Line Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the plating process at Triplex Plating, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires the operation of pneumatic hoists and loading machinery, as well as manual loading and unloading of raw parts as directed. A key responsibility is to visually inspect all parts to ensure they meet quality standards, and to understand and follow the established quality protocols. The specialist is also responsible for completing all necessary documentation and logs related to the line operation as determined by management. Maintaining a clean work environment is essential, and the specialist must oversee that the line is free of loose parts, debris, and trash before leaving for the day. In addition to these responsibilities, the Line Support Specialist must report any machinery, quality, material, or team issues to management immediately and adhere to all safety requirements. The role requires flexibility, as the specialist may be shifted across different production processes to meet customer needs. The ability to identify plating discrepancies visually is critical, as is the capacity to stand for extended periods, walk continuously, and reach above head level. The specialist must also be able to operate machinery, follow directions with minimal supervision, and work collaboratively with team members. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental job function, and the specialist must be able to remain in a stationary position for a significant portion of the day while also moving around the production area to identify defects or quality concerns. The position involves constant operation of computers, x-ray machines, and other productivity tools, as well as maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents. Communication with team members is frequent, requiring the ability to exchange accurate information to ensure high-quality production and safety. The work environment is typically loud and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and fumes, necessitating a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
