YOUR TASKS ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment and/or
  • 2 years supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Must be conscientious and maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and team.

Responsibilities

  • Safety – Strive to ensure and improve safe practices by supporting safety training, initiatives, and continuous improvements.
  • Quality – Lead team to ensure that products meet or surpass quality standards.
  • Costs/Efficiency of Operation – Ensure that manufacturing lines run with the highest efficiency at the lowest costs possible to achieve production output, productivity, product quality, customer satisfaction and established budget.
  • Logistics – Lead team to ensure that all related customer orders and schedules are received correctly, interpreted for production, planned, scheduled and delivered to customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement – Ensure and support continuous improvement process in the manufacturing operation by leading teams to identify and track action items to completion.
  • Training – Coordinate training to meet MAQS requirements and production needs, including blue folders, Safe Launch plans, etc.Maintain documentation of training.
  • Management of Staff – Provide leadership and support, setting of goals, and monitoring progress and training through performance evaluations. Select, hire and train an empowered workforce to achieve goals and professional growth based on team concept and an efficient communication system. Provide key input towards development of job descriptions. Appropriately staff lines to maintain KPI's and meet customer deliveries.
  • Material / Inventory – Ensure team is trained and properly completing inventory transactions to maintain material availability and inventory accuracy as well as completion of entries into lot traceability system.Support cycle counting when required.
  • New Manufacturing Development – Support manufacturing process development by participating in engineering and new equipment/tooling procurement and set-up.
  • New Product Launch – Provide support for new product launches including pre-production trials and customer assembly plant support activities that lead up to start of production.
  • Reporting – Prepare and present results from assembly operations as requested.
  • Payroll – Review and approve Kronos time and attendance.
  • Accountable for assigned data entry.
  • Review process inspection data entry, completion of LPA.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of process (yellow) folders.
  • Responsible to create Q3's and post to quality.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in performing job duties and responsibilities.
  • Must complete the required training for the position (see Training Plan for Internal Factories).
