Disclaimer: Ideally based in Charlotte, NC. We’re happy to start remotely and can provide 3–6 months to relocate. If you’re driven, collaborative, and excited to grow with our team, we want to hear from you! Because Caravan generally functions day-to-day with a small core team, it’s important for each team member to be reliable, self-motivated, and committed to the success of the team as a whole. The Caravan Producer will execute all logistics for a given production. They thrive in the details and nuances.. Getting in the weeds is their passion. They love a good challenge and are committed to creating alignment, developing creative solutions, delivering an elevated production experience– both internally amongst crew and externally amongst clients– and stewarding projects to be successful both creatively and financially. Our Producers balance the bottom line with mindful relationships with crew and vendors, and are committed to finding win-win solutions. Producers at every skill level are an integral part of how Caravan operates, and are expected to oversee their assigned projects from pre-production to delivery to the client. Within any project, that may include: Implementing, tracking, and reconciling budgets Creating and executing project timelines Assisting with casting, locations and crewing, and coordinating with vendors Supporting above and below the line crew as needed through each phase of a project Interfacing with client to ensure their needs and objectives are being met Negotiating with crew and vendors to find the most cost effective solutions Interfacing with insurance and/or legal representatives to ensure compliance across the board Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor(s) During production, producers are expected to be on set with their clients and crew (including local and travel productions) and available on an as-needed basis. Given the nature of the production cycle, this position is overtime exempt, however, supplemental vacation time may be awarded at the discretion of the Executive Producer, and open communication about schedule and workload is expected. Because the majority of a producer’s job is communications-related, producers are required to have a solid grasp of the English language, grammar, and email etiquette. All documents sent to clients and collaborators should be formatted cleanly and proofread to Caravan’s standards. Producers will be required to work within the following online applications: Saturation, Google Drive, Notion/Dropbox Paper, Asana, Slack, Frame.io. Producers ultimately report to the Executive Producer, but may occasionally interact with intermediary supervisors during the course of a project (full-time or contract), such as a Supervising Producer or Unit Production Manager.
