Requirements

  • Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., if over 50 lbs. requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift
  • Must be able to stand for 12 hours
  • Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift including holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • High School diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform instructions outlined in the Production Manuals for Production Assistants
  • Operate pallet jacks and fork trucks
  • Assist operators as needed to minimize downtime during cleanups and maintenance
  • Weigh and package rolls according to specifications and instructions provided on work order paperwork
  • Thread Line
  • Use and complete paperwork
  • Understand and follow quality specifications
  • Do Q.A. clean-up
  • Perform housekeeping duties on and around the line
  • Maintain neat and clear aisles for product transfer and safety
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety
  • Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of others
  • Authorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event
  • Understands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives
