Overview Job Summary The Line Operator coordinates the proper process baths and materials needed to produce the highest quality product for our customers. Works closely with Processing Line/Shift Supervisors on coordinating priorities of products to best utilize the process tanks in the most efficient and safest manner possible and in meeting required production schedules. Strives to produce consistency from load to load and shift to shift by means of communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Successful completion of Line Operator Trainee role or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively coordinates with various teams to ensure efficiency on the line, quality product output, and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensures loads are inspected, processes product by specifications, and escalates any issues to the department supervisor.
  • Efficiently and effectively collaborates with process techs, supervisors, and line operators regarding special loads, shift hand-offs, and consistency issues as appropriate.
  • Monitors pH and solution levels in all tanks that require it, runs multiple lines as assigned, rejects loads that do not meet processing requirements.
  • Understands how to use and operate special equipment such as rectifiers and cranes.
  • Facilitates consistency by ensuring all processes and procedures are followed appropriately on all assigned lines.
  • Contributes to safety by keeping work areas and equipment clean, responding accordingly to alarms, and escalating situations as outlined by facility guidelines and practices.
  • Supports all staff on assigned lines by completing necessary documentation, aiding teammates where able, and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Provides leadership with requested information and data to support key metrics and objectives at the department level.
  • Other duties as assigned.
