About The Position

IPEX is one of the North American leading providers of advanced plastic piping systems. Our mission is to shape a better tomorrow by connecting people with water and energy. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Line Operator at our Extrusion plant located in Walla Walla, WA. This position will involve operating extrusion machines and related equipment for fittings production while ensuring safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve plant goals.

Requirements

• Ability to operate extrusion machines and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspection.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a production environment.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.
• Perform inspection activities using a PI table, micrometer, and ovality gauges.
• Ensure efficiency in the inspection and quality process including skin testing and impact testing.
• Detect and assist in resolving quality issues with the product.
• Investigate any product deemed non-conforming.
• Adjust the extrusion process including wall thickness, barrel and die temperatures, and diameter adjustments.
• Maintain maintenance on the line, including cleaning of vents.
• Collaborate and assist with production material trials and new products.
• Monitor and maintain output and run conditions to specified standards.
• Complete accurate documentation and quality requirements.
• Perform other duties as delegated.
