The position is for a Union Line Mechanic 1/C, 2/C or apprentice, located in Norwich, NY. The hourly rate ranges from $57.37 to $58.37. The role involves performing complicated construction and maintenance work on energized conductors, structures, and equipment under directive supervision. Responsibilities include making polyphase transformer installations, performing phasing and phase rotation on polyphase circuits, and conducting distribution and transmission switching and sectionalizing as required. The mechanic may also install instrument transformers and manage electric and/or gas meters and services. Additional duties include directing the work of other Linemen or Groundmen and operating transportation equipment as needed.
