Purpose of Position The Line Maintenance Planner plans overnight maintenance to reduce the impact of aircraft maintenance on the Operation. The Line Maintenance Planner will be required to utilize critical thinking skills to plan, strategize and schedule efficient and cost effective maintenance events within our maintenance supplier network. Additionally, the Line Maintenance planner will be detail oriented, self-motivated, forward thinking and adaptable to change with strong organizational skills to be able to succeed in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The Line Maintenance Planner is expected to have great written and oral communication skills in order to work with our external suppliers and internal departments to seamlessly plan, coordinate and execute the organizational goals to reach desired outcomes. Line Maintenance Planners should be self-assured with a positive attitude and able to inspire trust and respect within the team and amongst their peers. The Line Maintenance Planner ensures that all maintenance requirements are complied with in accordance with NetJets Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs, Continuous Inspection Programs, or Regulatory and company requirements. Is appointed and empowered by the aircraft certificate holders' Director of Maintenance (DOM) to conduct designated functions of the DOM office.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Office, and planning and/or logistics understanding.
  • To perform the job effectively this person should have 2-4 years' experience in Aviation related field or equivalent.

  • Military equivalent experience
  • 4-year aviation/business degree and/or A&P License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plans overnight maintenance to meet operational needs, maximize yield on inspection requirements, minimize cost, while ensuring the company stays compliant with regulatory requirements. Planning activities require coordinating with Scheduling, Service Hub Managers, Vendors, Materials, MCC, and Base Planning
  • Coordinates logistical requirements to successfully accomplish maintenance, including vendor capabilities, technician availability and appropriate skill sets, parts, tooling, and routing of the aircraft.
  • Ensures proper loading of locations in our Service Hub network to avoid overloading vendors while avoiding unused labor.
  • Prioritizes work at Service Hubs to ensure the aircraft that are worked overnight provide an optimal available fleet mix for the following day based on the needs of the operation.
  • Completes assigned projects, campaigns or fleet initiatives to align with company and department goals, SLA's and metrics.
