About The Position

The Line Locator position at H2O Innovation involves locating underground water and wastewater lines to prevent damage during excavation work. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and integrity of utility systems while collaborating with other utility companies and contractors.

Requirements

• Valid Mississippi driver's license.
• 2 years of experience locating or working with underground utility lines.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions associated with the equipment.
• Ability to walk long distances outdoors daily and lift charges of over 40 lbs.
• Ability to understand maps and engineering prints.
• Ability to open sewer manhole lids using tools such as pry bars and lifting hooks.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with directional horizontal drilling/boring is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Locating water & sewer lines within the system.
• Working closely with other utility companies and contractors to prevent damages to underground utilities.
• Monitoring all location requests and completing requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintaining and safeguarding equipment to keep it in operational condition.
