Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with packing tools, shrink-wrap machines, pallet jacks, and basic warehouse equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, pliers, grinders).
  • Willingness to learn new tasks, follow procedures, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial for troubleshooting and understanding equipment.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with heavy duty mount clamps, torque, and rubber grommet a plus
  • Experience in using crane to move large heavy parts a plus
  • Experience using ergonomic equipment properly such as hoists a plus
  • Experience using a hydraulic unit a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities and ensure a safe, efficient working environment.
  • Assist with setups, adjustments, and producing high-quality parts.
  • Assign tasks, coordinate workflow, and support SQDC goals.
  • Inspect product and packaging quality; update data in the ERP system.
  • Monitor productivity and analyze efficiency, downtime, and scrap.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and completion of production paperwork.
  • Train, onboard, mentor, and cross-train employees.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, anticipate issues, and support lean initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and other departments.
  • Promote clean work areas and uphold company policies and values.
