About The Position

The position involves assisting with the handling of baggage and cargo at an airport, ensuring proper tagging and storage, and working closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to manage the loading of aircraft. The role requires safe operation of ground support equipment and may include flight following duties, general housekeeping, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Maintain a Valid Driver's License
• Ability to drive company vehicles as required
• Organized and able to work effectively as a team or independently
• Strong customer and interpersonal skills
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as required

Responsibilities

• Assist with ensuring baggage and cargo are tagged and stored in the proper locations within the baggage holding area
• Work closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to ensure proper baggage and cargo are pulled and loaded on the correct aircraft
• Escort passengers to and from all aircraft
• Safely operate ground support equipment such as golf carts and forklifts
• Assist with the towing of aircraft
• Perform flight following duties including answering phones and assisting with radio calls
• Maintain general housekeeping of Operations buildings, parking lots, and company vehicles
• Set up the Operations building in the morning, including making coffee and ensuring cleanliness
• Complete any other duties as assigned
