The position involves assisting with the tagging and storage of baggage and cargo in the appropriate locations within the baggage holding area. The role requires close collaboration with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to ensure that the correct baggage and cargo are loaded onto the assigned aircraft. The CSR will provide a manifest for each flight, which the employee must be aware of, as changes may occur frequently. Responsibilities also include escorting passengers to and from aircraft, safely operating ground support equipment such as golf carts and forklifts, assisting with aircraft towing, and performing some flight following duties, which may involve answering phones and assisting with radio calls and parking assignments. General housekeeping duties of the Operations buildings and parking lots, as well as maintaining company vehicles and equipment, are also part of the job. Daily tasks include setting up the Operations building in the morning, which involves making coffee, laying out newspapers, ensuring cleanliness, and emptying trash cans. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
