The position involves assisting with the tagging and storage of baggage and cargo in the appropriate locations within the baggage holding area. The role requires close collaboration with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to ensure that the correct baggage and cargo are loaded onto the assigned aircraft. The CSR will provide a manifest for each flight, which is essential for the role. The position also includes escorting passengers to and from aircraft, operating ground support equipment such as golf carts and forklifts, and assisting with aircraft towing. Additional responsibilities may include flight following duties, general housekeeping of operations buildings and parking lots, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Daily tasks include setting up the operations area in the morning, which involves making coffee, laying out newspapers, ensuring cleanliness, and emptying trash cans. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
