As a Line Cook, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. You will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that uphold our standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in upscale dining establishments or country clubs.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a deep appreciation for delivering top-notch dining experiences.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during busy service periods.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the country club's dining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the preparation of a wide range of menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in accordance with established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and notify the Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager when supplies are low.
  • Participate in daily and weekly kitchen cleaning tasks, including equipment maintenance and deep cleaning activities.
  • Assist in the creation of daily specials, offering creative input and suggestions for new menu items.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely preparation of orders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations, offering insights on process enhancements and efficiency strategies.
  • Display a strong commitment to teamwork, stepping in to support colleagues in various kitchen roles when needed.
  • Embrace opportunities for professional development, including attending training sessions and staying up-to-date with culinary trends.
