About The Position

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that the food is of high quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent culinary skills, integrity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cook
  • Able to read and write English (ESL)
  • Excellent culinary skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to Learn and accept constructive feedback

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the kitchen including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
  • Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets our standards
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
  • Assist in training staff in the operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
