About The Position
The #PDIFamily is looking for an experienced line cook to join our team in the new Surge Café! Located at PDI’s beautiful headquarters in St. Petersburg, the café will feature a full-time chef, a fresh menu, and indoor/outdoor seating where an experienced personality will prepare high-quality and delicious food. Are you a pro at maintaining proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing and cooking food items? We are looking for someone like you who has an extensive understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Requirements
- Minimum 5 years as a line cook in a fast-paced work environment
- Knowledge of health department standards for food service employees
- Ability to prioritize and solve problems while ensuring a “customer first” mentality
- Self- motivated individual with a passion for creativity and professionalism
- Hard working culinary team member who can multitask in an efficient and timely manner
Responsibilities
- Must be fully capable of following the opening and closing procedures of the daily café operation
- Receiving, handling, storing and rotating of all food products
- Set up and stock line stations with all necessary supplies for daily service
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining high level food preparation standards
- Ensure the proper sanitation, organization, and efficiency of all back of house areas
