About The Position

Mama Kim Malaysian Fusion is a modern Malaysian-fusion restaurant focused on whole ingredients, bold flavors, and nourishing the body from the inside out. As the first U.S. location of a highly regarded Malaysian brand with 13 restaurants overseas, we are proud to bring a health-forward culinary experience to Greenwood Village. Located beside our sister day spa, Jalan Facial Spa, our concept blends vibrant Southeast Asian traditions with modern wellness values. We’re seeking skilled and motivated Line Cooks to join our culinary team. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Asian dishes to exact specifications, working various stations, and ensuring that every plate reflects the bold flavors and wellness-driven approach that define our brand.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen (Asian cuisine strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with wok cooking, steaming, sautéing, grilling, and roasting techniques
  • Strong knife skills and comfort using a wide range of kitchen tools
  • Ability to handle high-volume service while maintaining precision
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to excellence
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical demands of kitchen work
  • Comfortable working in hot and humid kitchen conditions
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions during prep and service

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school training or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Asian dishes (e.g., stir-fries, noodles, soups, BBQ, dim sum) to company standards
  • Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to maintain consistency and quality
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and speed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, food prep areas, and cooking surfaces
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand and customer expectations
  • Handle special dietary requests or modifications as needed
  • Restock ingredients and supplies during and after service
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and take direction from kitchen leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef
