As a full-service, garden-to-table restaurant, Terrain Café delivers a distinctive dining experience rooted in the values of horticulture, harvest, roasting, and gathering. We are passionate about hospitality, local sourcing, and creating meaningful connections with our guests. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This is a fast-paced, high-performance role in a scratch kitchen, i deal for cooks who thrive on precision, speed, and working across multiple stations. Our collaborative kitchen team is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences rooted in quality, and creativity.

Requirements

  • Preferable minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume or scratch kitchen.
  • Comfortable working multiple stations, especially sauté, grill, and oven.
  • Strong and effective communication.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, cleanliness, and industry best practices.
  • Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work long shifts in a fast-paced, temperature variable kitchen.
  • Flexible availability preferred- may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Strong sense of urgency, time management, and teamwork who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Organized, reliable, and professional under pressure
  • Motivated to deliver exceptional guest experiences through food.
  • Reliable transportation for dependable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with salad, prep, and pastry stations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, and other items to recipe and plating standards.
  • Execute dishes across multiple stations, especially Sauté, Grill, and Oven; supporting Salad, Pastry, and Prep as needed.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized station for efficient service.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper storage and FIFO rotation.
  • Take direction from chefs, supervisors, and managers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with both BOH and FOH teams.
  • Assist in cleaning, closing procedures, and station breakdown using provided checklists.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Occasionally assist in other kitchen roles (e.g., dish, prep, expo) when trained.
