About The Position

The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a qualified individual who is interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants. Must have open availability to work any given day of the week on PM shift to include weekends and holidays. JOB SUMMARY Line Cook would be responsible for preparing food in our Farmers Daughter a La Carte kitchen which includes, but is not limited to Grilling, Frying, Sautéing and preparing hot hors d oeuvres. We are looking for candidates that are organized, responsible, have a positive demeanor, and are team players. Attends and participates in all training sessions and team meetings Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner Prepares all items required for line and special function purposes Carefully follows standard house recipes when preparing food Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards Always maintains a clean and organized workstation Properly stores all food products in appropriate storage areas Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices Cleans and locks up according to prescribed procedures Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management Reports to Sous Chef

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of previous experience working the line on the hot side
  • Must speak English
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with managers and staff
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have your own reliable transportation to get to and from work.
