About The Position
We're looking for responsible, friendly, and service-oriented individuals to join our kitchen team in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our seniors. We have two kitchens to serve our community, with some food service staff shared between the two. This position will be primarily at our Oasis care center serving our residents in Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. Low-volume service (under 50 meals per service) allows the attention to detail that is critical for meeting residents' dietary needs and restrictions. We welcome all applicants who can work well independently and as part of a team, display professionalism and culinary knowledge, and take pride in excellent service. To carry out these responsibilities successfully, candidates should have the following qualities:
Requirements
- Prior professional cooking experience is required
- Available to work on holidays
- Have a positive attitude and service-minded approach
- Able to pass a fingerprinted criminal background check (Livescan)
- Able to pass a health screening, TB test, and drug test
- Able to lift at least 40 lbs. and work on your feet
- Able to bend, stretch, pull, push, etc. as needed for cooking tasks
- Be punctual and have reliable attendance
