About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. The Line Cook follows recipes, maintains high food safety and sanitation standards, and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role is preferred but not always required.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is cooked and served in a timely manner during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food and ingredient levels; alert supervisors when supplies are low.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Support teammates as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and efficient service.
