About The Position

The Line Cook at Tillie’s Restaurant is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes with precision, consistency, and creativity. This position plays a vital role in delivering the high-quality culinary experience Tillie’s is known for. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and shares a passion for food and hospitality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a full-service restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for consistently high-quality food preparation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary education or certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Camp Lucy culture by upholding company values and delivering exceptional service at all times.
  • Work collaboratively to foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing kitchen team environment.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Tillie’s recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and portion specifications.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service.
  • Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Cook menu items using a range of techniques including grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines; ensure proper food storage and labeling.
  • Assist with daily prep, inventory checks, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas following each shift.
