This role provides full-scope preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes and following all procedures and regulations pertaining to food preparation. Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.
- Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- A minimum of (3) three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution; or culinary advanced education.
- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
- Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
- ServeSafe Certified or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire date.
Responsibilities
- Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations.
- Attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Follows Marquette policies and procedures.
