The Line Cook position at San Chez Bistro is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality preparation of dishes for both breakfast/brunch and Spanish Tapas service. As a Line Cook in our fast-paced kitchen, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, preparing and presenting dishes with precision and creativity. Working in an open kitchen environment, you must maintain professionalism and composure while handling high-volume orders, as guests may be seated at our chef table/culinary bar right in front of the kitchen line.

  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, execute recipes, and assemble dishes with precision, ensuring they meet the restaurant's high culinary standards.
  • Line Coordination: Work collaboratively with fellow line cooks, communicating effectively to maintain smooth kitchen operations during high volume periods.
  • Order Management: Ensure accurate and timely execution of food orders, paying close attention to special requests and dietary restrictions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to verify that all dishes leaving the kitchen are visually appealing and meet taste expectations.
  • Open Kitchen Etiquette: Maintain a high level of professionalism and composure while working in the open kitchen, providing guests with an engaging culinary experience.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about menu changes, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest inquiries and offer recommendations.
  • Efficiency: Work efficiently under pressure to meet service demands without compromising on the quality of dishes.
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume kitchen is a necessity.
  • Proficiency in preparing and executing breakfast/brunch and Spanish Tapas dishes.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in an open kitchen environment.
  • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability in fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus.
