Line Cook - NW Portland
About The Position
Elephants on NW 22nd is our largest and flagship store, featuring grab-and-go selections plus a grill, freshly prepared foods, cheese and charcuterie, gelato, wine, beer, catering, espresso service, and a wide variety of specialty groceries. We are looking for an energetic team player to serve menu items from the hot food line. Personal motivation and teamwork are imperative. This position requires exemplary hospitality and active customer service, knowledge of specialty and high-end products, and efficient workflow. As you grow in your role, you could learn how to make sandwiches and other grill menu items to order. Our ideal candidate for Line Cook will have a year of cooking experience, strong organizational and knife skills, and will be self-motivated! As this is an open kitchen, you must enjoy and be consistently oriented toward customer service and be self-aware during all interactions! Requirements
- Current Oregon Food Handler's Card
- A year of cooking experience
- Strong organizational and knife skills
- Self-motivated
- Exemplary hospitality and active customer service
- Knowledge of specialty and high-end products
