About The Position

Spruzzo Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, perched atop The Ben, is a Mediterranean-inspired dining destination offering fresh coastal flavors, elevated small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and sweeping views of the Palm Harbor Marina. As a Line Cook at Spruzzo, you play a key role in delivering vibrant, beautifully executed dishes that reflect our restaurant's lively energy and globally influenced culinary identity. You will work alongside a passionate culinary team to prepare high-quality menu items, maintain exceptional kitchen standards, and contribute to the unforgettable rooftop dining experience our guests return for time and again. As a Line Cook at Spruzzo, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes inspired by Mediterranean and coastal flavors while upholding The Ben's commitment to excellence, creativity, and consistency. You will work efficiently on your assigned station, collaborate with fellow kitchen team members, and bring precision and passion to every plate. From executing menu items to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, you help set the tone for the elevated rooftop dining experience that defines Spruzzo.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume or upscale dining environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Professional attitude, reliability, and flexibility with scheduling, including nights and weekends.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional food and contributing to an elevated dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items following Spruzzo's culinary standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Work efficiently on the line during high-volume lunch and dinner services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in compliance with food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure consistent quality and timing of all dishes.
  • Assist with prep work, portioning, and daily station setup and breakdown.
  • Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to kitchen leadership.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
  • Support a positive and team-focused kitchen culture through communication, professionalism, and respect.
