One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, is seeking Line Cooks to join the team! Job Summary: Line Cook is responsible for food preparation on hot line and cold line with multiple stations for dining room, banquets, and room service menus.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and knife handling.
- Prior culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation.
- Able to multitask effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Open to learning and committed to consistency and quality.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and execute daily recipes and menus.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
