About The Position

The Evening Line Cook is a key member of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines. This role supports efficient kitchen operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and collaborative work environment. Strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience. Knowledge of raw and cooked seafood handling and preparation standards is required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or certification from a culinary school (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation Prepare appetizers, entrées, and desserts by following standardized recipes and procedures. Accurately measure, assemble, cook, and season ingredients to ensure consistency and quality. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper doneness and food quality.
  • Station Management Operate assigned station (grill, sauté, fryer, etc.) efficiently during service. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and properly store ingredients and equipment.
  • Quality Control Inspect food products for freshness, quality, and proper appearance. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed to meet flavor and presentation standards. Ensure portion control and plating consistency.
  • Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature control. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and floors.
  • Team Collaboration Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management to support smooth service. Assist team members during high-volume periods and promote a positive work environment. Support kitchen leadership with training and adherence to standards as needed.
  • Inventory Support Assist with monitoring inventory levels and proper stock rotation. Report low inventory levels or equipment issues to kitchen leadership. Participate in inventory counts as assigned.
