About The Position

Prepares food and serves restaurant patrons at counters or tables by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have impeccable presentation and very good people skills.
  • Familiar with sanitation standards for restaurants.
  • While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.

Responsibilities

  • Takes order from customer.
  • Completes order and serves customer at table or counter.
  • Cleans food preparation equipment and work area, including counter and tables.
  • Respect all sanitation rules and regulations.
  • When applicable, responsible for operation and accountability of POS cash register.
  • Is current on all kitchen safety procedures and acts accordingly.
  • Is courteous, friendly and helpful to customers and Team Members.
  • Must wear black non-slip shoes or temporary non-slip shoe covers.
  • Prepares all food accordingly to established procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.
  • Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
  • To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
