As a Line Cook, you’ll execute salads, entrees, appetizers and desserts based on the design of the Executive Chef. Working in our mobile food facility within Bistro 107 at Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos, the day to day may include: Preparing menu items at our off-site kitchen and assisting with other culinary tasks Executing menu items at the winery including plating of salad, entrees, appetizers and desserts and buffet items based on the design of the Chef de Cuisine Setting up, breaking down and cleaning, including food transport from catering van Organizing, rotating, and assessing inventory levels of food storage areas Working efficiently in a face-paced environment

Requirements

  • 1+ year of kitchen experience or equivalent culinary education
  • ServSafe and/or California Food Handlers Certification
  • Safe knife skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, be proactive, have a sense of urgency, a positive attitude and effective communication
  • Must be available 3 days/week between Wednesday - Sunday
  • Walk, stand, bend, kneel, and reach frequently for the duration of the shift
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Handles sharp and hot tools regularly
  • Frequently utilizes cleaning chemicals
  • Drive to/from the offsite kitchen in San Jose to the Winery in Los Gatos, as needed

  • Executing menu items at the winery including plating of salad, entrees, appetizers and desserts and buffet items based on the design of the Chef de Cuisine
  • Setting up, breaking down and cleaning, including food transport from catering van
  • Organizing, rotating, and assessing inventory levels of food storage areas
  • Working efficiently in a face-paced environment
