About The Position

As a Line Cook at The Cove, you become part of our Good Vibe Tribe — an inclusive group of Unicorns who are courageously authentic and contagiously passionate about spreading a love for life and embracing its challenges. In this BOH role, you’ll cook, plate dishes, and prep a variety of food products, including meats, poultry, vegetables, and sauces. Your work helps ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience they won’t forget.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role
  • Food Handler certification
  • Ability to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Ability to perform job functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Team players with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and dependability

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and procedures
  • Keep the line stocked with fresh ingredients in clean containers
  • Assist in the dish pit when necessary to maintain workflow
  • Support kitchen prep to stay on top of production
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Properly close the kitchen and follow all station closing procedures
  • Assist team members with closing duties
  • Promptly report equipment or food quality issues to the Kitchen Manager
  • Immediately inform the Kitchen Manager of product shortages
  • Use Standard Recipe Cards to prepare all products; do not rely on memory
