About The Position

The Line Cook is expected to prepare hot and cold foods for the restaurant and cafe. Must have a passion for cooking and work well as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Communicate effectively and clearly with all kitchen and restaurant staff
  • Knife skills
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and maintain a calm attitude with all personalities
  • Act professionally with co-workers, bosses, vendors or any guests
  • Must be able to stand and work in a kitchen environment for the entirety of a shift
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and stay through the entire season

Responsibilities

  • Produce excellent quality and presentation of all menu items
  • Know and comply with all presentation, cooking methods, portion sizes, quality standards, and cleanliness standards and procedures
  • Keep the line and all other areas of the kitchen clean and assist in daily cleanings
  • Stock sufficient levels of food products and tools to the work stations to ensure a smooth shift
  • Set up and break down stations, ensuring proper food labeling and storage
