About The Position

SplashDown Beach, America’s Biggest Little Water Park located in Fishkill, NY, is seeking experienced line and prep cooks. Candidates must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced food stand, preparing food orders for an average of 2000+ guests daily. Must possess a strong work ethic and sense of pride, and the ability to follow established standard recipes. Be a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director.

Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) of demonstrated cooking and kitchen experience in a fast paced culinary environment
  • Strong production skillset and impeccable sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to work on your feet throughout the day and ability to lift 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
  • Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and understand English
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Flexible Schedule; must be available a minimum of 5 days a week, prepared to work weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Safe Food Handling Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create delicious food and garnish to impress guests and create memorable dining experiences
  • Ensure all food is served in a safe and timely manner
  • Prepare components of each dish on our menu consistently using established recipes
  • Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures
  • Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas exceed sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with team to portion prep for upcoming shifts
  • Constantly monitor product freshness
