Requirements

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living, or senior care setting
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements for seniors
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents' preferences
Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to health and safety regulations
Plan menus in collaboration with the dietary team, considering nutritional needs and variety
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Assist with special event catering and meal service as required
Follow portion control and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency
