About the Company: Lighthouse Bar and Grill located at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina. The resort is located near Lake Front Airport. About the Job: We are looking for a reliable Line Cook who takes pride in their work and a job well done. A sense of energy, passion, integrity, honesty, great attendance, and personal responsibility. Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and day and night shifts. Work an average of 30 to 35 hours per week Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing. Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods Able to expedite food orders/tickets in timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Stock food items and other necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.
  • Safe serve certified or able to obtain.
  • Experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene.
  • Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
